UNFINISHED BUSINESS

NEW BUSINESS

A motion was made by Steve Paradise and seconded by Dave Kroll that the NEWAL purchase 10 adult tickets to the Greater Green Bay Labor Council Picnic at Bay Beach on Labor Day.  Motion passed unanimously.

A motion was made by Steve Paradise and seconded by Dave Kroll to accept all items in the NEWAL Standing Book of Resolutions to be voted in with two thirds vote.  Motion passed unanimously.

OTHER BUSINESS

Katya Bouyear reviewed the past 3 years finances and thinks the union can’t afford to pay the stewards what they are being paid.  After discussion, it was decided that we can afford it right now and they will continue to be paid the extra $120 that was voted on for now and that this is a standing resolution that can be changed in the future if need be.

It was decided that we will use Biebel’s to cater the union picnic this year.

Kelly gave a report on the National President’s Conference that he attended.  He thanked the membership for allowing him to go.  He brought up getting and extra sweeper on the DBCS’s with 302 stackers and the RI-399 crossing craft grievance.   It was brought up that the biggest problem right now is a hostile work environment.  You can watch the contract negotiations on zoom if you’re interested.

The expected completion date for the union apparel is July 12th.
