MINUTES OF MONTHLY MEETING OF NORTHEASTERN WISCONSIN AREA LOCAL #2247
Date: Wednesday, March 23rd, 2022
Place: Gallagher’s
President Kelly Heaney called the meeting to order at 1 pm.
A quorum was declared with 22 members in attendance.
Kelly Heaney led the Pledge of Allegiance and Dave Villwock gave the Invocation.
The following officers were present: President Kelly Heaney, Secretary/Treasurer Art Ciesielczyk, Recording Secretary Jenny Starry, Maintenance Craft Director Lance Bouyear and Bay Breeze Editor Billy Kabacinski. Clerk Craft Director Chris Opolka resigned and Vice President Dave Kroll was excused.
Minutes of the February 2022 meeting were read by Kelly. A correction was made under the grievance report. The sub-contracting grievance for $15,000 was paid out to an AMT and 2 BM’s.
A motion was made by Sue Pranke and seconded by Donna Hansen to accept the minutes as corrected. Motion passed.
The financial report for February was read by Secretary/ Art Ciesielczyk.
Executive Committee: The e-board discussed approving funding for the LM3 and 990 reports, jobs not being posted in a timely manner and members attending the State Convention.
Labor/Management: Reverting of jobs, jobs being reposted and running manual mail were discussed. The minutes are posted.
Grievance: Grievances are being filed on reverted jobs. Statements are needed for management, maintenance and outer office people doing clerk work.
Safety/Health: There is now an on-line form you are being told to fill out called an e-comp file if you get hurt. If you get hurt, report it immediately.
Legislative: The Postal Service Reform Act of 2022 has passed.

Lost Members: Zach Moder and Liz Richards quit. Josh Brickner was let go.

NEW BUSINESS
A motion was made by Christine Bouyear and seconded by Matt Vadala to pay an accountant the difference between $3000 and what it would have cost in January to do the LM3 and 990 Reports. Motion passed.
A motion was made by Donna Hansen and seconded by Sue Pranke to pay $369.24 for QuickBooks. Motion passed.
OTHER BUSINESS
A copy of the LMOU will be put on the website, www.newal.org.
NEXT MEETING
A motion was made by Faith Ness and seconded by Matt Vadala to have the next meeting on Sunday, April 24th at 4pm at Gallagher’s. Motion passed.
ADJOURNMENT
A motion was made by Dave Villwock and seconded by Pam Krause to adjourn the meeting. Motion passed. Meeting was adjourned at 2:10 pm.
The $10 door prize was won by Billy Kabacinski.
The t-shirt/beanie door prize winners were Andrew Prescher and Matt Vadala.
The $360 rolling jackpot winner was Molly Reffke. He was not present so it will be $380 at the next meeting.
